Micro-generation – Non sustainable?

Here for a change is an article that raises a contrary view of micro-generation. The article really is an argument for nuclear power and attempts to rule out micro-generation as unsustainable on the grounds that it would be very hard to balance supply requirements on the grid. Sounds like a technical challenge to me rather than a sustainability issue.
